NSK Bearing

 Basic Knowledge of NSK  Bearing 
The codes of bearings consist of basic code, pre-code, and post-code. Basic code stands for the basic type, structure and dimensions of bearings; post-code stands for the complementary code which is added to the end of the basic code in case there are some changes happen to the structure, dimensions, sealing, cage, tolerances, clearances, packages, and technical requirements of bearings.

F - deep groove bearing with flanged outer ring.( used in bearing with d 10mm);
HR - heavy-load tapered roller bearing;
MF - deep groove bearing that is of special dimensions and with flanged outer ring.(d 10mm);
MR - deep groove bearing that is of special dimensions; ( used in bearing with d 10mm).

I. Inner Structure
A - bearing with its inner design different from that of the standard.
A - angular contact ball bearing with its contact angle as 30o;
A5 - angular contact ball bearing with its contact angle as 25o;
B - angular contact ball bearing with its contact angle as 40o;
C - angular contact ball bearing with its contact angle as 15o;
C - tapered roller bearing with its its contact angle as 20o;
D - tapered roller bearing with its its contact angle as 28o;
C, CA, CD - high-load self-aligning roller bearing;
E - high-load cylindrical roller bearing;
H - high-load thrust self-aligning roller bearing;
J - the parameters of the rolling nest of the taper rollers, such as the diameter of the smaller end, the angle, and the width of the outer ring, meet the requirements of ISO.
 
II Materials
g - the bearing ring and the rolling elements are made of cemented steel;
H - the bearing ring and the rolling elements are made of stainless steel.
 
III Retainer
M - copper alloy solid retainer;
T - synthetic resin retainer;
W - press-formed retainer;
V - without retainer.
 
IV. Seal ring and dust-proof cap
Z, ZS - with steel plated dust-proof cap on one side;
ZZ, ZZS - with steel plated dust-proof caps on both sides;
D, DU - with contact type rubber seal ring on one side;
DD, DDU -  with contact type rubber seal rings on both sides;
V - with non-contact type rubber seal ring on one side;
VV - with non-contact type rubber seal rings on both sides;
 
V.  Shapes of bearing rings
K - taper bore with its taper as 1:12;
K30 - taper bore with its taper as 1:30;
E - bearing ring with a notch or an oil hole on it ;
E4 - outer ring with oil groove and oil hole on it;
N - outer ring with locking groove on its outside surface;
NR - outer ring with locking groove collar on it;
 
VI. Fitting and gasket padding
DB - back-to-back duplex mounting;
DF - face-to-face duplex mounting;
DT - tandem duplex mounting;
+K - outer ring with gasket padding on it;
+L - outer ring with gasket padding on it;
+KL - both the inner ring and outer ring have gasket padding on them;
 
VII Clearance
C1 - radical clearance of centripetal bearing is smaller than that of C2;
C2 - radical clearance of centripetal bearing is smaller than that of standard clearance;
CN (omitted) -  standard radical clearance of centripetal bearing;
C3 - radical clearance of centripetal bearing is larger than that of standard clearance;
C4 - radical clearance of centripetal bearing is larger than that of C3;
C5 - radical clearance of centripetal bearing is larger than that of C4;
CC1 - radical clearance of cylindrical roller bearing (non-interchangeable) is smaller than that of CC2;
CC2 - radical clearance of cylindrical roller bearing (non-interchangeable) is smaller than standard radical clearance;
CC - standard radical clearance of cylindrical roller bearing (non-interchangeable);
CC3 - radical clearance of cylindrical roller bearing (non-interchangeable) is larger than standard radical clearance;
CC4 - radical clearance of cylindrical roller bearing (non-interchangeable) is larger than that of CC3;
CC5 - radical clearance of cylindrical roller bearing (non-interchangeable) is larger than that of CC4;
MC1 - radical clearance of small size, miniature ball bearing is smaller than that of MC2;
MC2 - radical clearance of small size, miniature ball bearing is smaller than that of MC3;
MC3 - standard radical clearance of small size, miniature ball bearings;
MC4 - radical clearance of small size, miniature ball bearing is larger than that of MC3;
MC5 - radical clearance of small size, miniature ball bearing is larger than that of MC4;
MC6 - radical clearance of small size, miniature ball bearing is larger than that of MC5;
CM - radical clearance of deep groove bearing and cylindrical roller bearing which are used in motors;
CT - radical clearance of cylindrical roller bearings which are used in motors.
 
VIII Grade of tolerance
P0 (omitted) - the grade of tolerance meets the requirements of grade 0 of JIS;
P6 - the grade of tolerance meets the requirements of grade 6 of JIS;
P5 - the grade of tolerance meets the requirements of grade 5 of JIS;
P4 - the grade of tolerance meets the requirements of grade 4 of JIS;
P2 - the grade of tolerance meets the requirements of grade 2 of JIS;
 
IX Special dimensions
X26 - the operation temperature is below 150 oC;
X28 - the operation temperature is below 200 oC;
X29 - the operation temperature is below 250 oC;
S11 - self-aligning roller bearing, with the operation temperature below 200 oC;
